Following her awakening, it is revealed that she suffers from memory loss, leaving her confused, introverted and quiet, in stark contrast with how she was before. She also has no truly personal desire to restore her own memories as she's fine with how she is at the present. As she travels with Youta and is a witness and listener to all of his sexual encounters, she grows increasingly angry and has a sudden personality change, one full of hostility towards male who treat women as playthings, disgusted to the point of feeling like killing them.

Prior to beginning the series, she had known Youta since childhood and they grew together like siblings.[3]

On the day of the incident, she was eating lunch with her friend while Youta was looking over her. When she heard Youta's name, she gasped for moment before realizing her childhood friend had fallen out the window.[3]

Fortunately, Youta survived the fall but was unconscious for a month. During that time, she devotedly nursed him herself.[4] When Youta finally woken up,[5] she was overjoyed to meet her childhood friend again. As soon as the doctor had left, she immediately asks Youta to why jumped out the window without telling her his problems. Youta retorted that he was thrown by a huge tattered doll. She told Youta that no one saw a doll, even her, and she asks him if he will jump again, only to be retorted. She followed up with a promise to assure herself. She leaves Youta for a moment, only to see him back breaking his promise.[4] She persuaded Youta to not jump and reminded him of his promise. She immediately confessed her feelings for him and declared she would jump along with him. She succeeded and was relieved to hug for Youta's decision, until, their moment was short-lived as the doll pulled Youta and her out the window, thus sending them to the parallel world.[6]

She arrived in the parallel world 3000 years earlier before Youta and was alone. An unnamed male turned her into the Jealous God and was encased within a hibernating device that can kill a human upon contact, located beneath the would-be ruins.[citation needed] Sandrio's residents eventually discovered her and guarded her for the next 100 years while deciphering the area as much as they could. Succeeding generations were able to figure out how to unlock her with a spell (password) and a talisman (ID card), which unfortunately, the latter being in Galia's possession, a witch who worshiped her. Following the witch's decisive defeat, Galia willingly handed over the talisman to Youta, knowing he would awaken her god anyway.[7][8][9][2]

A scene in the story when the protagonist wants to take Nishina with him, she sit on the Bicorn without agitating it, which leads the protagonist to suspect that Nishina has lost her virginity, it done by someone, not the protagonist. It is currently unclear if this has anything to do with the past, when Kanejou kidnapped Nishina along with the protagonist's mother. But when the kidnapping case was solved, Youta felt as if Nishina was avoiding him and hiding something from him.
